Academic Writer (English and Verbal reasoning)

This role is responsible for development of online lessons needed for English and Verbal reasoning sections of the programs offered by AdmitEDGE.com(a Guidance Platform for Tests and Admits). The lessons have to be developed upon strong pedagogical principles that result in sound learning. The online medium needs to be utilized creatively to make the lessons highly interactive and the learning, an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Advantages of the Millisecond Technology need to be adopted in the lesson creation to enable personalized learning experiences.

The role requires you to interact with Teachers, Subject Experts, Authors, and understand diverse inputs that go into content creation.

Content development for the online medium follows defined processes and guidelines for quality (language, presentation, styles, etc). The role is responsible for the maintenance and evolution of these standards.

Who can apply

MA or MPhil in English (English language teaching, Language, English Literature) with a flair for creation of lessons. You should be comfortable in content pertaining to tests like GRE, TOEFL, CAT, GMAT etc. in subjects like English and Verbal Reasoning.

You should be someone with a deep interest in the teaching-learning process, with the ability to understand the learning needs and psychology of the student, and translate the same into content creation. Formal training in Pedagogy, Instruction Design, and Cognitive Psychology will be valued. Experience in developing content for classroom or e-learning will be a strong advantage.

Prior experience as a content writer or editor in publishing industry (online and/or print) with exposure to content development process (from planning, execution to release) will be greatly valued.

You should have strong command over English language and possess good editorial skills.

Expertise in online and multimedia publishing (audio, visual, graphics, animation) will be valued.

You should be a good team player and possess strong interpersonal skills required to work and collaborate with other authors, developers, instructional designers, and subject experts.
