Editor - Interactive Lesson Development

This role is responsible for planning, managing and executing the development of online lessons required for various programs offered by the AdmitEDGE(a Guidance Platform for Tests and Admits). It is responsible for ensuring quality and timely delivery of content.

It will require indentifying and commissioning authors and engagement with external authors, SMEs, content creators.

The role is also responsible for the content development process to be followed in the organization:

  • Evolution of high quality processes and practices for creation of interactive lessons
  • Best practices and standards to be adopted for lesson quality.
  • Creation of good style sheets
  • Processes and guidelines for Copyright management

It is a full time job, requiring you to work from our office at Chennai.

Who can apply

Graduate or Post-graduate in any discipline

5-8 years experience as Senior Editor in publishing industry (online and/or print). You should be well versed with practices in content development and should have led content development projects, from planning, execution to delivery.

You should have led and managed teams of authors, developers, instruction designers and subject experts. Familiarity with author commissioning, royalty, copy right rules is highly desirable.

You should possess excellent editorial skills and strong command over English.

Comfort in content pertaining to Competitive Exams like GRE, TOEFL, CAT, IIT, GMAT etc. in subjects like English, Mathematics, Science and Analytical reasoning (at high school/graduate level) is a must. Expertise in online and multimedia publishing (audio, visual, graphics and animation) will be an advantage.

You should have the ability to deeply understand the learning needs of the student, his learning psychology and be able to translate the same into content creation. Expertise in Pedagogy, Instruction Design, Cognitive Psychology will be valued.
